BioFables Art Project for Children

Are you looking an outlet for your child's innate creativity and sense of artistry? We've changed our BioFables artwork contest into an open, ongoing, fee-free way to engage your child in reading and thinking creatively about a story's content. BACKGROUND

BIOFABLES - VIRTUAL FRIDGE DOOR GUIDELINES

Please read this entire message before submitting your child's artwork. If you have any questions that aren't covered here, please send an e-mail to jogucwa@techmanage.com.

AGE RANGE: 1 to 12 years.

HELPING YOUR CHILD: Please limit your involvement to providing materials. It must be your child's own creativity and work!

SUBMISSION: By e-mail only. There is no fee to submit your child's artwork. A copy-and-paste form to include with your child's artwork attached  is provided below. Please send just ONE picture per e-mail.

FORMAT: Pdf, jpg, gif or png. Please scan or save your child's artwork to one of these formats.

SIZE: Under 3 Mb

MEDIA: Crayon, marker, chalk, pencil or other tools used on paper or other flat surfaces; assembled or decorated objects, clay or other media for photographed submissions; computer drawing programs (ONLY if they are designed for children up to the 8th grade) - these will be displayed in a separate category.

CONTENT: G-rated only, and should not violate the spirit expressed by the well-known MacArthur Foundation: "...building a more just, verdant, and peaceful world."

POSTING: We'll email you when you child's artwork is posted, and include the URL of its page so you may share your child's artwork well beyond your refrigerator door. Your child's artwork will be identified by its title, your child's first name and initial of last name, age, city and state, country (outside the U.S.) and date submitted.

We'll also contact you by email if there is any problem with posting your child's artwork or if we have any questions. Submission and posting are both free.

With each e-mail, please copy and paste the following information for your child's artwork and then fill in the relevant information. For this inaugural launch, the Book Number is "2" and the Chapter Number is "3." Episode numbers are HERE.

We'll update these instructions as we open up more chapters for submitting your child's artwork.  Links to all BioFables books to-date are at the end of this page.
